Maisy Odjick stayed the night at Shannon Alexander's house.
September 6, 2008 (Saturday)
Shannon walked her dad, Bryan Alexander, to the bus station while Maisy slept in at Shannon's house. Bryan took the bus to Ottawa, ON to paint his son's place.
September 7, 2008 (Sunday)
Maisy's mom and grandma cannot get a hold of Maisy and get a bit worried. They feel that she'll soon call.
September 8, 2008 (Monday)
Maisy's grandma, Lisa Odjick, goes to Bryan Alexander's house. They exchange information and both become heightened with worry. Maisy's mom Laurie starts calling around to all of her friends, finding out bits and pieces of information as to who was the last person to see Maisy. Police are alerted.
September 12, 2008 ( Friday)
Kitigan Zibi Chief, Gilbert Whiteduck, arranges a press conference in Kitigan Zibi at the Cultural Centre for 10:00am. Laurie Odjick and Bryan Alexander both make pleas to the cameras for their girls to come home.
September 23, 2008 (Thursday)
Marcel Brascoupe, along with Maisy's mom, Laurie Odjick, arrange a river search in Kitigan Zibi. Community members, Bernard Dumont and Joanne Cote, volunteer their boats for the search. Many volunteers come to help in the river search. No new information is found.
October 1st, 2008 (Wednesday)
After talking with Maisy's mom, Laurie Odjick, and Shannon Alexander's dad, Bryan Alexander, and other family members, I (Maria Jacko) put together this website, publish it and advertise on facebook groups.
October 4, 2008 (Saturday)
The Assembly of First Nations and National Chief , Phil Fontaine, invites the families to Ottawa for a second conference for more national coverage for the missing girls. The families, along with Kitigan Zibi Chief Gilbert Whiteduck, are present for the conference in Ottawa. Afterwards, the group heads to participate in the Sisters-in- Spirit Vigil.
October 10, 2008 (Friday)
Lynda Kichikeesic Juden organizes a three day search in the Ottawa area for thanksgiving long weekend: Saturday October 11th, Sunday October 12th and Monday October 13th, 2008.
December 7, 2008 (Sunday)
After previously meeting with the Chief and Council and families of Maisy and Shannon, the Search and Rescue Global One (SAR G1)team arrange a massive search in Kitigan Zibi. The Ottawa Valley Search and Rescue Dog Association also brought a team of six members and two dogs. Around 100 community members and friends from Ottawa came to help with the search.
The search team focused on the last place Maisy and Shannon were seen, at Shannons house. So a 5km radius was searched around Shannons house. Despite a tremendouse effort, no new information is found.
Saturday January 14th, 2009
A meeting was organized by Chief Gilbert Whiteduck to discuss the results of the search and the next steps of our planning with the families and the Search team.
Search and Rescue Global 1 handed in a detailed report mainly stating that "The missing persons were neither located, nor significant clues to their whereabouts uncovered during the search."
According to the Kitigan Zibi Police, there have been no new reliable signs or clues regarding the missing girls.
We have decided to resume our search of the Kitigan Zibi area in the Spring of 2009. Chief Gilbert Whiteduck will be working closely with the Search and Rescue Global 1 team to enhance the continuing search and to look at other possible avenues.
May 2, 2009 (Saturday)
The second massive search led by Search and Rescue Global 1 began at 7am where searcher gathered at the Kitigan Zibi community hall. The search lasted until early evening. Amnesty International generously donated a bus for volunteers from the Ottawa area. Despite the huge effort of over 100 volunteers (consisting of community volunteers, SAR G1, Kitigan Zib Police, Kitigan Zibi Chief and Council, family members and volunteers from Ottawa), no new information is found.

A walk/vigil is organized by the families and Bridge Tolley marking the 1st anniversary since the disappearance of Maisy & Shannon.
